DR. MAHIRY ROMERO

I was born in Maracaibo, Venezuela, and pursued my medical degree at La Universidad del Zulia from 2001 to 2007. Throughout my education, I was a proud member of the Honor Roll Society for all seven years, graduating with honors in 2007.

In Venezuela, I gained extensive medical experience, completing two years of additional training in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Gynecology. I also began specializing in Anesthesiology, completing one year of training before moving to the United States in 2009 due to the political situation in my home country.

In the U.S., I continued my medical journey, completing Internal Medicine residency training at Metropolitan Hospital in Manhattan, New York, from 2013 to 2016. After graduating, I worked as a hospitalist in rural Arkansas from 2016 to 2017, where I provided care to underserved communities.

Since 2017, I have been a dedicated hospitalist at AdventHealth Hospital East Orlando, where I have also taken on leadership roles. I successfully completed leadership training in 2024 and continue to contribute to the advancement of patient care and hospital operations.

In addition to my hospitalist work, I have pursued specialized training in IV therapies, Weight loss management, and Aesthetic procedures such as Botox and Dermal fillers, expanding my expertise to help patients achieve their health and wellness goals.

I am married and a proud mother of two children, ages 6 and 3. Outside of work, I am passionate about balancing my professional life with family time and staying active in my community.
